Rebuild compression test results
I just did a compression tests and am pretty happy, #3 kind of worries me...maybe its not fully seated.
I have 155 miles on the new engine and the numbers looked like this:
#1: 255 PSI
#2: 250 PSI
#3: 240 PSI
#4: 255 PSI

Re: Rebuild compression test results (2000-4DRGSR)
Actually, no. Heh.
My FPR is fucked I think..or the fuel pump. When I rev the engine, the fuel pressure drops from 38 psi to about 32-34 psi..that is not normal. The car hesitates at times and stalls...which is prbably fuel related. Itll get fixed though.

Oh crap...just remembered! I forgot to hold the throttle open while doing the tests. How much is that going to affect the results?

Re: Rebuild compression test results (Tomakit)
I just redid it and held the throttle open as well as unplugged the FI fuse.
Numbers were pretty much the same.
#1: 255 PSI
#2: 250 PSI
#3: 250 PSI
#4: 255 PSI
#3 actually matched the rest now...kind of weird.
How many times exactly am I supposed to crank it over? Ive heard anywhere from 4-7 cranks...even until it stops going up? I tried 4 and got around 240 PSI on #1, while cranking it over 7 times gave me 255 PSI.

Re: Rebuild compression test results (HX_Guy)
What kind of PSI readings should I be getting on my GSR with 11.8 compression? I should do a compression test too to see if I really have compression that high.

Re: Rebuild compression test results (VTEC-MAN95GSR)
Well I have 11.4:1 compression and at 5 cranks I got around 240-245 PSI
C-Speed Racing got 250-255 PSI on 5 cranks with a 11.6:1 motor
I would guess with 5 cranks you should be around 260-265 PSI
