reasons why the passenger window won't work
my passenger window stop working. The passenger window is not locked out. I don't hear the motor working at all when I press the switch. I'm suspecting it is the motor, but would like other opinions before having to replace that.
Has anyone replaced the window regulator and motor before? if so, how much?
Also, is there a way to manually roll the window up or down?
Thanks

If you haven't already, try the switch on the passenger side. It'll eliminate the switch as the problem.

Re: reasons why the passenger window won't work (koco)
mine just stopped working as well.....thought it was the motor in the passenger side
b/c the driver side switch didnt get it to work either but as it turns out the autoshop figured out it was the switch in the passenger side.....i would say either the switch or the motor is your problem.....of course before any of those problems should be checked, check your fuse.

Start by checking the fuses and wires, then look at the switch as possible culprit. As far as I know, there is no way to manually lower or raise the windows......

Even a broken window motor will make noise... usually. If you don't hear noise at all, it's probably the fuse/switch.

it wont go down at all...or it goes down like its half-retarted....cause thats how mine is...ill hold the button down(on both sides) and itll go down like an inch, then stop, then another inch, then stop...so i usually just push it down while holding the button(surprised i havent gotten in an accident doin this)...if its like mine u gotta open the door and spray some **** in there to grease up the track...

thanks for all the responses...I checked the fuses under the hood and under the driver side dash, they are fine...
A little more info...I've tried opening and closing the window with the driver side switch as well and nothing...If the one of the switch is dead, would not the other work?

They are 3-way switches, like in your house. If one goes bad, they both sometimes do not work.
It is not hard to remove the door panels- I'd just check that out.

Check the wire junction box in the passenger door.
Why? Well when I bought my car the alarm was aftermarket and it was ran through the side of the wire connector and not drilled in like it should have been, so after opening and closing the door it sometimes wiggles loose.
Try opening the passenger door and using the passenger switch. Usually when mine starts to come loose I can open or close the door a little bit (it pushes the connector back together) and it will then go up and down....then you know to check that. If you have no idea what i'm talking about I can get pics.

yup, thanks
was messing around with a multimeter check for juice in each of the wires going into the harness at the passenger switch and all of a sudden it worked...looked like there wasn't good contact at the switch.
