PLZ Help Me with My A/C!!!
i replaced an a/c hose today that had a hole in it...the one that goes from the compressor that bolts on to the front of the condensor...
#3 on the diagram
so i then filled it up with 3 oz of pag46 oil and 23ish ounces of freeon...
a/c compressor comes on, air comes out, but not cold
even let it run for 25 mins at full blast
so i then drained it completely from the top service hose and filled it up with 2 ounces of pag oil and 12 ounces of freeon=same problem
please tell me whats wrong! thank you

Re: (lmike6453)
yeah thats another problem that is affecting it...sorry i neglected to add it last night...yeah you need a vaccum pump to but a heavy vaccum on the line which that will also take all the condensation/water out...cause under extreme vaccum water boils ....then once u have the vaccume on it, try then to replace 134a

Traped air and water in the system will both reduce the a/c compressors efficiency. Water is non-compressible and air has no cooling affect like R134. Take it to a liscenced shop and have them pull a vacuum and perform a leak test. Best $50 you can spend. Then have them recharge it for you. Low side PSI should be around 30-40 psi depending on ambient temperature.
