Oil dipstick seal?
Any ideas why my oil dipstick tube is leaking oil all over the exhaust pipe, or more specificaly how to seal it up? I searched this site and didn't find much on the topic. I dont see a gasket or O-ring on the parts diagram.
BTW, the tube is very loose.
Thanks!

Re: Oil dipstick seal?
the sleeve it's self is $9 at Honda, I think the little seal is part of the sleeve and I would blame the sleeve vs the block. I have a few spare blocks I could go and look but i'm 90% the issues is with the sleeve. I looked at the diagram it looks like is has a taper base with some sort of washer most likely that washer is to blame, as you said not something you can but separately.

The dipstick tube was not loose. I think the oil was coming out of the top of the tube and dripping down. Too much crankcase pressure? I'm guessing my PCV, or lines to it, are clogged.

only real way to know is clean the around base and at the top, is this the turbo car in your sig? I personally would never run the stock pcv on a turbo'd engine. I've never heard of that tho no too much windage happens down there it goes directly to the pan. t ends a few inches into the pan usually IN the oil.
