Need Help Now! 95 LS No Start Condition
I really need to drive this car today or tomorrow!
What started as rebuilding the suspension + axles turned into a month long extravaganza.
Between breaking rusty bolts (even after torching them), waiting for parts, and school owning my life the car sat for a month in my schools auto shop.
Fast forward to tonight... finally got a rear control arm and put everything back together. Go to start it and all it does is sputter and die.
Checked the spark and its good on all 4 cylinders
Fuel pump primes fine
After hearing about E10 gas going bad much faster (in a matter of weeks) than gas with no ethanol in it I decided to take a gas sample. I unhooked the return line off the pressure regulator and collected about 10oz of gas in a clear bottle. Almost immediately there was separation. After about 30 minutes there was a large amount of water in the bottom so this leads me to believe that over a month the gas went bad. The car was parked with little gas in the tank. Its possible the gas cap is bad which lead to a non-sealed system hence accelerating the moisture absorbsion.
I drained the tank and then unhooked the return line by the tank to drain the lines. Cranking the car seemed to clear everything out pretty quick. I tossed in 9 gallons of fresh gas and it still won't start. It just sputters and pops but to be honest the car didn't crank long before the battery died. Its currently on a charger and I'll try again tomorrow.
Someone said the fuel pump relays are known to go bad in these and in his 93' LS even though the relay went bad it would still pump some fuel but not run.
Anyone have any insight on this because I'm ready to torch the damn car and keep driving the E36.
Mind you during this month absolutely nothing was touched in the engine.

It was a combination of bad gas and fouling the plugs.
I had never pulled the plugs on this car but they were virtually shot. So they were worn, fouled, and soaked in gas. Tossing in a new set of plugs made it fire right up. Just drove it about 30 miles and it seems to be running fine.
