Mystery Oil Leak Squriting Out Hood
Well, first off it's a B18b in my civic with a b16 tranny. Just replaced oil pan gasket as well as valve cover gasket in hopes of fixing leak, but it didn't help. Oil slowly drips out overnight, but while im driving, it is coming out at a good amount of pressure so it squirts out my hood and over my headlights and all over the right side (Driver side) engine bay. It doesn't get wet behind the motor mount. Just the center of engine bay to the right side of bay, and it leaks down from about valve covers to oil pan. Is there something behind timing belt cover that can leak? Or is the timing cover supposed to be 100% sealed? I have put car on lift and tried to pinpoint leak, still no luck. My guess is something behind the timing belt cover but I don't know. Please help.. this is becoming a mess!

your front main seal is behind the crank pulley. that could be shot. another thing to look at is if your oil pump might be on the way out.

The timing belt cover is not "sealed".
Remove the cover, [middle #3]
Also, you do mean the left side of engine bay, right?
Your looking at the engine bay from in front of the car, so it is to your right, but it is still the left side of car/engine bay, [drivers side]. 94

^^lol. i was just gonna say..
but seriously. take it to a car wash. spray some degreaser. let it soak. then pressure wash the bay. getting everything clean first is the key to catching it

check your oil filter. one time the old rubber seal got left on when i put a new filter on. It squirted all over the underside of the hood and got all over the bay
