Please Help - can't pass my safety check
Ok, so a few months back some punks stole my car. it was recovered and it's time for me to get my paperwork renewed now that i've replaced the seats and got it running again.
my question is, does anyone know the relation between the wipers, horn and SRS? all of the mentioned now longer work on my car. there is some obvious damage to the wiring near my ignition from where i assume the pryed the ignition cover off. i don't know what's what but i can take pics later.
just wondering if anyone has been in my situation and what you had to do to get these features working again. i have to get this stuff fixed by mid-nov and i don't have ends to take it to acura. thanks.

**** i failed recon the other day lol
too low (i was 1/2" off!!! argh)
anyways i think there's a side mounted computer that controls all that..kinda like on my G2 teg....it burnt out and my rear defroster went out, my oil light was always on, and i couldn't use a ton of stuff...
i'll have to look at my 1998 manual..PM me if you want to meet up
(btw i live in hawaii kai..)

wow, a thread full of hawaii people...do all you guys have recon? besides integraxtr? im looking for a safety, feeling the pressure too. needs to be done in less than a week.

i got away once with telling the cop my car "looks" lower cause i have low profile tires lol. and he let me go hahah. not anymore though, got exhaust and its a lot more slammed too.

hell yeah **** recon!!! i got outta 3 recon tickets telling the judge i tired and failed for recon, so im in the process of fixing the problems. others just lowered the fine.

recon is a law here only in Hawaii saying that if you mod your car you have to get it inspected...from what i've heard it was to track thieves..but now it's just plain discrimination...well, it's just rediculous...
basically recon is a sticker you need to put on if you have an exhaust, suspension, and rims bigger than 1" than stock...
sucks lol

Ok, update. I got the new ignition installed and the cruise control button/light comes on again. However, I haven't tried to use the accel/set/decel buttons yet. I'll try that tonight.
My mechanic friend said I need a new "clock spring". Couldn't find it on Acura Carland and the local dealership quoted me $524. My friend said it shouldn't be that much. Anyway, I think what I need is the cable reel as suggested by patrick. Should be picking that up from another H-T member next week.
Thanks for all the help and for the Oahu guys, sorry about the meet idea. I'm not flaking I'm just ashamed to go to a meet with my car in the shape that it's in. I figure we should all just keep in touch til it's ready to be flossed again hehe.
