Modified car/MD state inspection
Hey im about to sell my 99 Integra GSR and i need to get it Maryland state inspected. Anyone put a modified car through inspection? did it pass no problem?
Here is a list of my mods...
Apexi' WS catback
DC sport ceramic 4-1 Header
AEM cold air intake
Ground control springs
Tokico Blue Shocks
My car is fairly low i suppose.. nothing crazy or anything.. do you think the lowering could be an issue? if it could be i would just raise it up a little before i go in for the inspection.
Any input or advice would be great. Thanks In Advance.

Re: Modified car/MD state inspection (MeKKa301)
I'm in MD, and IMO it all depends where you go. but off the break from personal experience with my old Maxima, inspectors HATE lowering springs. unless its something subtle like a 1-1.2" drop. but you have GCs, couldn't you just raise the GCs up to stock "look" and get it re-alighned?? most of the guys I used to work with don't like exhausts either, I'm not sure on the legality of the Apexi WS though. but from my observation most stickler/"seasoned" inspectors won't let them slide, of course if its approved than I don't see why not. Intake and header should be straight.

Re: Modified car/MD state inspection (MeKKa301)
There is a way to pass inspection regardless of what you have one your car. I forgot the name of it. It's a type of alcohol you would pour into your tank. People back in the day used to put in their cars for a cheap way to clean their fuel injection. You bring you tank down to quarter or so. Then you pour about a gallon of it in. And then you fill your tank. It's supposed to burn soooo clean that you pass emission with flying colors. It was a rick a friend used to use to pass emissions down here in FL before they got rid of it. I was told they sell it in Home Depot for like $5. Let me try to find out what it is.....

Re: Modified car/MD state inspection (Xumarius)
you are talking about exhaust/emissions testing, hes talking about inspection where they inspect safety and operation of the cars components...emissions testing is totally seperate
