LS-VTEC: my idea on more easily obtaining the parts....
This is what I thought of doing for an LS-VTEC conversion just to make everything easier to obtain, thus having less headaches and minimal downtime. Right now i am running a built LS motor in a 90 DA Integra. I've got a rebuilt stock block with Total Seal piston rings, bolt-ons, headwork, Crower stage 1 cams, Skunk 2 IM, MSD 6A ignition, and a Place Racing ECU. I thought about keeping what Ive got but swapping the tranny for a JDM B16 cable with LSD. Then I thought of just swapping in an H22 or H23. But I realize now that I will come out better in the long run money wise and with performance by just getting a complete JDM B16 with cable LSD tranny and using everything from except the short block to do an LS-VTEC. This seems to me to be the best way to do an LS-VTEC as far as making it far easier to obtain all the parts at once. But what do you all think, stay with the pure LS and use a B16 tranny, or go LS-VTEC?
