Default Looking for an Automatic B series transmission for an b20 swap...

I am looking for an automatic b series trans that is short geared for racing thats for an b20 motor....

If I cannot find something that will suit the needs I was also curious if there is a different torq converter, Or also a shift kit, I am looking for something to make the automatic b20 swap quicker ...

your options are pretty much an ls auto or a jdm gsr auto... but why? just to make the swap "quicker" do it right if you are going to do it at all my 2 cents

its 5 speed or no speed.

i know b16 manuals are i think among the shortest gearing, autos will propably be similar.

but by the very nature of a torque converter, an auto cant be as fast as a standard. also i must note that must transmissions are avalible in 5 speed stick or 4 speed auto, meaning the auto would have to be geared about 1:1.25 just to keep the same top gear ratio.

so i must ask: why do you want an auto if your going for speed?

I swapped the motor for a girl she only has one arm she is only allowed to drive automatic she loves hondas so I swapped a b20 into a dc2 for here and it has intake mani, TB, catback and basically all the bolt ons it is quick but I wanted to try to make it ok for the track or when she races... she has all skunk2 bolt ons and she wants to me to do a vtec head but I was looking at the trans side cause I never really build auto I do 5speed...so I figured maybe someone else might have some idea,,,,

well i dont know about auto gearing, but a b16 is the shortest of the standards, im sure you can find gearing statistics somewhere, but also important to remember is auto trannys arnt built to handle more power. you may burn through em quick.

JDM automatic GSR tranny is your best option. They usually go for cheap if you can find one

You can also try contacting Level 10 to see what they can do with your existing transmission.

See if they'll sell you just the tranny. Im sure they're gonna have an easier time parting it out from the longblock anyways

I dont like the idea of someone with only one arm having a car that fast, let alone a woman.
