K20 cost
hey guys,
im sticking with the B20 swap in my teg, but my friend has a 98 also and wants to do a K20 swap , ive searched my question but no answer to it. other than the engine and tranny,mounts, whats the estimated cost of puttin a k20 in a teg??? i know theres tons of work and cutting and reinforement, i know some one out there has made a manual how do i find that ??

The estimate of how much one would have to pay can be somewhere around $8K. This is including the installation of the parts.

Then here's a couple companies that sell the complete kits, engine and everything else. All engines are imported from Japan.

he was looking to spend about 4k, so we will be lookingat taking his teg off the road for a few weeks and work on it in the garage.... we have all the tools grinder welder andetc.. just lack exp.lol

Be sure to keep the gate closed when working on it. You and your friend does not want any thief out there near your viscinity watch your every move. Also, be sure to put away any parts from plain sight. There has been a few threads here where thieves stole from the owner's garage. It has mostly happened in the Chicago area, but I rather not risk it. Nothing's wrong being in the safe side when it is unnecessary. GL with everything!
