intermittent no start
my 97 integra has a what i guess can be considered intermittent no start?
heres how it goes
i go to start it in the morning...nothing like if the battery was dead the starter just clicks..
ill have say 12.5-12.6v
i jump start or push start the car...turn it off...turn it back on WITH KEY..and it turns on fine for the rest of the day like nothing ever happened...
battery voltage with car on is usually 14.3-14.4v
0 ohms resistance in the ground and positive battery cables
battery was new but i thought it was draining over night..so i did a warranty on it with the new battery first time going to crank it nothing had to jump start it...then turned on fine every time after that until the next morning of course
ignition switch is good replaced it after my car was broken into they damaged the original one...checked all my wires under the dash for loose or broken wire connections
oh yes and i cleaned the hell out of the battery terminal and cables just for the heck of it stilll the same problem

There's a parasite somewhere. Something is killing your battery somewhere you don't look for it, ex. your trunk light staying on while your trunk is shut.

Re: im out of ideas help me out honda tech
i dont have rear seats in..so at night i would be able to notice but i never turn the trunk, or interior lights other then the dash lights at night from the headlights being on... and the car did it even after getting a fresh battery in it is what got me the most confused since i thought it was something draining my battery as well every morning the battery reads 12.5-12.6v though

oh yea and i also checked all the wires under the dash thinking that maybe the people who installed my alarm f-ed something up or left something loose even though it was months ago but everything was fine...and especially since the car starts from a push or jump start

It's has to be a parasite somewhere. If you put a new battery in and it runs out, but keeps going for the rest of the day, there is something. I couldn't tell you what it is or where it is. Take it to the Honda dealer. They'll fix it.

But I don't get why it didn't start with the new battery either until I got a Jump start? Know what I mean like if my car started fine with the new battery and the next day it didn't want to start I would defintely say there's somehing draining my battery over night

The reason why your battery will start that your battery is going through a discharge cycle and the alternator is charging it back up. That's good for the battery but not so much the mornings. lol

Re: im out of ideas help me out honda tech
No way Id take it to the Honda dealer lolll I'm a tech I'm trying to apply there hahahaa... Being a Nissan tech isn't that exciting :/ lol. Nothing bit knock sensors all day hahahaa ( common problems )
what sucks about everything I try I don't find out till the next morning if it fixed the problem with my no start. For tonight I might just try disconnecting the battery and connecting it back in the A.M.

I Also put a cleaner 10mm bolt where the ground is bolted to the chassis ... I mean it wasnt rusted but just a little dirty It gave 0 ohms resistance from the the battery post to the body near the bolt

you need a buddy for this test but you could test the starter solenoid the next time it doesn't start. if 12v is there then you either have an amperage problem or a failing starter. if 12v is not there than you trace from the ignition to the solenoid until you find the area causing trouble.
