integras top speed

Re: integras top speed (DOHCon15s)
yeah, ive personally only been to 120. But there was still some room left to go. I suspect that youd need one really straight strech or road to break 125.

Re: integras top speed (patmcd)
I was in my buddies LS with him driving. He hit 125mph. Took a good deal of time to get there and wasn't fun. I was happy when he applied the brake. I suggest not attempting to see how fast it goes.....

Re: integras top speed (patmcd)
In my old car gsr b20 vtec turbo .45 bar i topped out @ about 165 @8200 rpm
In my current LS setup I have taken it to about 140, dont remember rpm, but I let off. A few years back we had a local guy gsr turbo/ls tranny pull 170 mph
Note my two pulls were done at 2:am completely flat interstate 3 miles long, no other cars on ther road, and yes i will never do it again

Note: also i dont recomend anyone trying to do this, especially in a NA car, Remmeber in a turbo car, you reach top speed alot faster than a Na car. I cant imagine how long it would take to get an all motor car

I've got up to 140 in my gsr no problem. I've got an itr tranny, jdm fd 4.786, and am pushing 189whp (my car weighs 2,440lbs). It didnt take me long to get there at all. So there ya go for the all motor question . I don't recall what rpm I was at. I've taken my fair share of turbo cars up top too, so wouldn't necessarily say junk about n/a cars on the top end. Especially the all mighty STI i just whooped on a highway run.

Never said na cars were junk, just remember that the majority of na owners aren't making 189 whp like you, btw nice #'s I was referring to the majority of the poeple who only have minor bolt ons and making little power

Re: integras top speed (quikB18B)
My fear of going that fast (I've gone 200 kph~ 120 mph) isn't the engine it's the tires. If you blow a tires you are dead. You blow an engine you slow down gradually. Tires are only meant to go so far (circumferential force rating) and unless you have race tires, most aren't rated to go that fast.

hahahaha thats funny true the longer that it takes u to get there u feel tension I like to get there and out of there ASAP i gone 143mph in my 96 integra ls with i/h/e and testpipe didn't take that long.....
with my GSR i gone pass 150mph for sure got there quick too i was ridi9ng 150 for the longest time felt like either i was goin faster or i am feeling the danger of the road and bumps...............
integras i believe don't relaly have speed governors so its whatever you take it too if its gets stuck somewhere u need mods to free up the flow......
i usually cruise at 110mph goin to school

Re: integras top speed (GunMETAL_TEgRa)
i think i remember reading that a gsr's top speed is 145 and maybe 148 for obd-1 and i think an Ls can get somewhere in the 130's

Re: integras top speed (genetsang)
i've gotten the speedo to read at 134mph. but, i question the accuracy of a speedometer at higher speeds. hell, the new bentley was off by 12mph on a top speed run. it was reading 220mph, and the actual speed was 207mph. honda speedometers are not exactly precise, even at cruising speeds they can be off a little. now, there is also the issue of tire size...

Re: integras top speed (phuckinilltegie)
I can vouch for the top speed of the GSR... 148mph @ 8200rpm... my cruise control wouldnt turn on at that speed, and I have W-speed rated tires.
I was on Aligator Ally in South Florida... anyone who has been on that road knows just how straight and flat and copless that road is.
That speed scared the **** out of me! I swore I would never do it again... then I got into my Prelude HE HE HE... In the Prelude a super high speed isnt quite as scary.

Re: integras top speed (DOHCon15s)
Yeah I've only seen 135, but I dont see why everybody says they wont do it again, I do it about oncwe a week, and it not hairy at all, I think about 165-175 is where some additional susp. upgrades would be neccessary. Then again I;ve seen 198 on my R1 yamy so 135 feels like a school zone.
go faster
dont be scared, thats what kills people
