Default lsvtec vs gsr

are these basic mods enough to take out his trash talking about his ls/vtec
-b18c5
-AEM CAI
-MAGNAFLOW catback
-APEX VTEC CONTROLLER

the mods i know of that he has is jus basically AEM shortram intake and a namebrand catback..

my gsr is 4door so i guess that will bring me down at 1st but if i raped him that would be enough for him to shut up, just got my car so i'm building it up, somewhat there, comments appreciated please?

i think that number is a lil high for a relatively stock ls/vtec. unless of course he's running some sort of boost i highly doubt that the lsvtec could puch out numbers like that

u have a gsr with a b18c5 and u just got ur car? did the person before u put that engine in there, or are u mistaking the b18c5 for the stock gsr engine (b18c1)?...if u have a b18c1 vs his ls-vtec...he's got u through the whole gear.

The lower r/s ratio and slightly larger bore(guessing stock ls bore) of the ls/vtec would give him more torque and his peak power should come about 1k before you, so I would place my money on him if he has at least a GSR tranny to go along with it - and of course if its been properly built and tuned.

Well I raced a gutted 94 Civic HB w/ LSVTEC that has a GSR Head and some other things on it and I beat it it with my (Bone Stock except for the nos) 97 GSR with a 35 shot. So I'm all for the GSR's. LS/VTECs are outdated and overrated.

What tranny is the ls/vtec running? It plays a big factor to whether you will win or not.

Yeah there's no way that LS\Vtec is putting down those numbers. On http://www.importreview.com the LS\Vtec there has Ross pistions, eagle rods, jun Valvetrain, Jun3 cams, and cam gears, 4-2-1 header
No cat, 2.5 inch exhaust with Hondata was pushing 229 on the dyno.
