integra dies.
So once in a while when I start my car It turns on and revs up but then the rpm's just drop and my car dies. I have tryed reving it while it is on its way down and it wont let me the rpm's just keep falling. This leads me to think it is a fuel problem. Could it be the filter or injectors? or could it possibly be my IAVC? I recently put in a new air filter but it was just a regular drop in and ever since that this has been happening. I have a 92 gsr stock motor?

did u mess with the idle screw on the TB?
it sounds like ur engine is not gettin genough air..
if its tightened all the way to the right u have to loosen it a bit..try going 1 full turn back and see if it still wants to die on u...
dirty filter on the iacv sounds possible..

Re: integra dies. (Teglessb18)
mine actually dies after a long stretch....as in fourth to fifth at high rpms...SOMETIMES, the motor will NOT accelerate, BUT the interior lights are on like you just turned the key back OFF OF RUN....f'n strange....
it sounds like you have an idle issue...or an ECU issue maybe

I doubt this is the reason. He said that he is pushing on the gas to try and keep the rpm's up, and it still dies. Adjusting the idle screw won't help if he is flooring it and allowing that much air to enter and it still dies.
Could be many things. Are you throwing any codes? Any strange sounds/smells? Could something as simple as dirty injectors or something as serious as a total loss of compression. Yes, I've seen both with your symptoms.

if ur engine is not gettin enough air u';ll have to repeatedly pump the gas pedal to get that air to keep it started up...
check the screw..make sure its not tightened all the way...loosen it a litle to the left..and it shoudl get better...
i'm not saying thats the only thing...but trust me on that..that if its tightened all the way then that will happen...
so i asked if u fucked with the screw recently...because if u didn;t it could very well be ur iacv or tps or a few other things..

Re: (BlazedD)
ya I am going to check that screw after class today does that adjust my idle? because sometimes I idle like at 500-600 rpms and I think it should be higher than that. Plus my idle goes up and down like between 400-800 sometimes could thgis have anything to do with it. I havent checked for vac leaks so that could be my bouncy idle problem.

Re: (Teglessb18)
It could be your ground from the chasis to the tranny. I had a 92 teg and it kept dying on me. I went over everything and nothing. then one day i messed around with the ground and it wasnt completely tight. I tighten it down and bam! fixed. or it could be your main fuel relay. Had that problem too. hope this helps.

Re: (AnDThEnWuT)
ya my relay is fine because i put it to start 2 and wait for the pump to prime then i hear my relay click I will deffinately have to check out that ground though. Did you replace the ground or just make sure it was all connected good?
