info when snapping an axle / cv joint
on Saturday night i shatered my drivers side axle racing, the thing that really threw me off is that if i put the car in first and let out the clutch that axle would make tons of noise but the car didnt move, the stange thing about that is that the passenger side is the drive axle and you'd think that the car would still drive, this made me freak and think i messed up the diff, but i replaced the axle and it drives fine, so in conclusion i the drive axle wont engage if the other axle is snapped.

The diff in a gsr is not a lsd or locking, it is just an open differential. All the power goes to the wheel with the least resistance, this is why you can spin one wheel when you launch.
