Help with P72-A01. Ecu internal Problem
1995 Acura Integra Gsr. Obd1. Basic boltons only.
Stock ECU
I keep getting a error code #9.
I have done the following :
-New Distributor
-checked wiring for continuity (at ecu n dist.)
-tested sensors ohms 380- 390 (at ecu n dist.)
-mechanical and ignition timing
Everything checked out OK except for the ecu.
swapped in another ecu No code.
ECU-
i replaced C17 tantalum capacitor (from a donor ecu 20+years old) and now the code is intermediate took about 8miles to get a error code, Before it was as soon as i start the car.
hic1 daughterboard seems fine (no burns or anything funny)
going to try a New tantalum capacitor this weekend.
im stumped, anybody with any knowledge on this help me out?

Re: Help with P72-A01. Ecu internal Problem
My headache is turning into a migraine lol
Check engine light is now as soon as i start it.
Had the idea of putting the P72 into my 95 civic(d16a6) and got no error code #9, but as expected error code #21 and #41.
Funny thing is if i put my P06 into the Integra i get no codes.... argh
i guess il restart and recheck wiring

Re: Help with P72-A01. Ecu internal Problem
Pulled out the multimeter everything checked out OK.
A friend of mine asked if i wanted to use his scope so i decided to drive on over.
CYP wires had little to no noise, then i moved the harness and all of a sudden was not getting a pulse.
Reset the ecu, wiggled the harness started it up and no code.
While it was running i wiggled the pin and got a check engine light.
Boom !
Pulled the pin cleaned it up, squeezed it for a tight fit and slid it back in
No more code!
I saw this and laughed.. was expecting a hand held device lol
Knock on wood no code yet
