Help! My Teggy doesn't start!
I need some help with my teg. She's stranded at work and I'm hoping I don't have to tow her home.
Car won't start. Cranks fine, I can smell fuel coming from the tail pipe. Push starting won't work. I thought that it was the distributor so I got one today and changed it, but still no luck. The dizzy came with the ignition module so that's new too. Plugs are good. After I changed the dizzy, car still won't start. Took the plugs out and cranked...no spark. Could it be a broken relay or fuse? Anyone experience this before? Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Re: (omega_s14)
I think that the new dizzy came with an ignitor and ignition coil (module). I'll take the cap off again to check.
I checked the fuses. Doesn't seem to be a fuse problem like I've read with some other cars.

I lined up the new dizzy with the old dizzy. Made marks so the timing wouldn't change. No, I am not getting spark. I'll have to check the ignitor tonight. Hopefully changing it will do the trick.

Car is manual, so I do start it in neutral.
Car's got intake/header/exhaust. Ignition has never been touched. I'm leaning towards the ingitor/ignition module since it's been driven 234k and has never been changed.

haha...tried to push start. Not getting spark so that didn't help. I never realized that pushing a car up to speed to drop-clutch-start was so hard.

Does your check engine light turn off when you put the key in "on" Mode, And does the mater relay click? It could be your computer (capacitor in computer) or master relay that got stuck.. Do you have a sound? system? Some sort of guages?

Re: (crxsi16)
crxsi16-No, the CEL doesn't come on when the key is in the ignition. How would I check to see if my master relay is working? Not sure which sounds I should be looking out for. The car cranks fine, exhaust smells like fuel. I pulled a plug and it smelled like fuel as well. But not getting any spark. ECU fuse (15A) is good. I'll probably run a check through my fuse box under the dash tomorrow morning to see if that's the problem. I checked the ignition module and ignitor today...resistances and voltages check within spec. Any other suggestions? Thanks! I'm really hoping that I don't have to tow to a mechanic to get this problem fixed.

Re: (filet611)
basically youre listening for the fuel pump to make noise. no noise = bad relay probably. i just replaced it in my integra, because the weirdest thing happens... it ONLY didnt wanna start on saturdays when the temp was between 80-90. i think its pretty damn weird that it only happned on saturdays but then again its better than happening on a weekday

Re: (Sam92Teg)
Finally got her started today. I took a plug out to check for spark. It finally sparked after the 2nd crank when the plug was touching the ground wire. Put the plug in and started fine. Dunno why that is. I thought it would start right after the new distributor/module/ignitor was installed.
Thanks for all the help guys.
