Default help..horrible noise after valve adjustment

have a 96 gsr and followed the instructions on here to adjust the valves..did everything to a T.. now, my motor sounds horrible. sounds like something is coming from the distributer and when i pull the throttle cable, it make a weird noise on the drivers side of the engine..any suggestions?

you did something wrong..lol

did you re-check after adjust? because when you are tighting the nut, it tend to about of spec. so you need to check after bolt is tightend.

i dont know where sound could come from..

weird..i put the original plugs back in (I changed them out) and most of the noise went away...I only get a noise on acceleration that sounds like its where the timing belt is at.

looks like the timing belt is loose for some reason.at high rpm it is hitting the timing belt cover..wtf do i do?

well it could be to loose valve lash, did you do it when the motor was hot or cold?
also when was the last time yuo changed the timming belt

when the motor was cold..hadn't been driven for hours. it had this sound when I got the car..happens around 3k rpm. timing belt looks fairly new..so it has been replaced recently. what is lash?

found the noise..seems like my t-belt was really loose, and upon further inspection, it was torn.. replaced it and all is well minus the leaking cam seal. i will fix that today though
