HARD TO GET INTO GEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey lately ive been having problems of getting into gear, today i turned on my car and tried to put it in 1st gear and it wouldnt go it was so hard. I noticed that when i put in 89 octane instead of 87 its easier to get into gears and really have no problems. I got my transmission fluid changed but still no help. What is wrong?

Check your clutch master cylinder fluid level. That type of problem is typically caused by the clutch not fully disengaging.

Are you stopped or moving when this occurs? If stopped, sometimes it helps to release the clutch in neutral, depress the clutch, and then shift into gear. You can also select second gear and the first with the clutch depressed.

this occurs usually when im stopped, like today i was parked and i turned on the car and tried real hard to put into gear but it did not go, so i got out of car and pushed it a little while in neutral then it went into first gear, bootleg but it worked.

is it just 1st gear or others when trying to shift. and octane level of fuel has nothing to do with gear engagement.
if its hard to get into any gear then im going to say it might possibly be a worn clutch pressure plate, which you'll need a new clutch kit. let me know some more info b4 jumping any further....

i had this problem several months ago... it turned out that all i had to do was bleed my clutch out... VERY EASY and it only took about an hour (mostly cuz it took me 30 minutes to figure out what the hell i was doing!) lol... since your fluid is good... that the next thing you might want to try before you get into the high dollar deals! best of luck!

Re: (integracura)
Now he pulls out this little nugget of info.....
Take it back and tell them you are having trouble with it, especially if it wasn't doing this before the MC went bad. Another common problem is linkage wear. If your linkage bushings are really worn you can have problems finding the right position to get it in gear. You may feel a lot of "slop" in the shifter when it is in gear.
And as another member mentioned: Pure coincidence between the clutch and higher octane fuel. Apples & oranges my friend.
