Front drivers hub loose? bearing (everything is tight)
I just rebuilt my gearbox, but now the hub is loose on the drivers side. I called the personwho took it out and they said all spacers and bolts were tight which I believe(very good service and price). The hub nut is as tight as it can be. Just that the caliper bounces on and off the rotor. I ordred a bearing for 39.99, but just wondering if anybody else had this problem?

The bearing is a press fit and is 3 pieces and the cones are tapered. They have to be tight for the slack to go away. your wheel bearing can be repaired with a press however if you drove on it you might as well replace it. The cause could be that the shop rolled the car with the cv axles out.

Re: Front drivers hub loose? bearing (AzN_J_SpeC)
I replaced the bearing, I replaced the CV joint and now the hub is tight. The only thing now is when I brake it makes a horrible sound like crunch and squeal at the same time. Th car also vibrates more at above 3500 rmp with mild throttle. The CV joint is in properly so I have narrowed it down to something with the brakes. If i brake hard it doesn't sound. I am picking up the two countersunk screws on Tuesday. The tranny was also just out.
