DirtyDA9's Dirty DB1 Build Thread!
And I start yet another build thread. This time for a 1993 4door GS integra, 5 speed, completely stock other than an intake and fat fives. My plans for this are just to make it clean, and of course a little power. Gonna lower it, put some nice wheels on it, front lip, MAYBE a roof rack, and fix all the body damage and dings and dents, and paint it. Performance wise, just I/H/E with skunk2 intake mani, and fuel pump and injectors. Then down the road boost the ish out of it, and keep the DA NA LSV.
Now for the pictures. Mind you I picked this up for only $900.
Picture time!!
Found this little guy hiding in there while I was swapping the hoods! The only thing other than the intake that isn't factory on the engine.

Finally touched the car for the first time since I bought it, been saving up lots of money though to do a FULL-ON tune up and then get it inspected and insured.
One thing I did was trace back most of his ghetto rigged wiring lol.

Even though it's freezing rain out, I went out in the garage and messed around. Instead of putting on a clean factory intake, I cleaned and painted the CAI, and got rid of the old ebay couplers and hose clamps and grabed some from an old intercooler.
Old POO
New skewl
Painted the CAI black with silver texture flake, should look good with black couplers
Then I cleaned and painted the heat sheild cause I couldn't find the old header off the DA
But then after like and hour of searching, viola!!!
At least now I can say I finaly touched the car since I got it hahaha. Oh and I got rid of the CEL, no codes for me! Getting her ready for inspection bitches!!!

I swapped over the hoods a few weeks ago, but I cant get the clean hood to latch, the rad support might be SLIGHTLY bent, I'm just gonna throw on the busted hood and get a hood bra for now = problem solved hahah

Re: DirtyDA9's Dirty DB1 Build Thread!
Well I went to put a clean factory intake back on, and found this:
Figured it was because of an FITV problem, and I decided to just swap throttle bodies anyway. Well after I put a new tb on and started it, it shot right up to 3k and climing. I also took of the FITV off the DA and cleaned it and was going to swap that over but just tried the tb alone first, obviously didn't help. It's dark now, so tomorrow I will swap over the cleaned FITV, if problem persists, I will make a blcok-off.
Or instead of going through all that, I may just grind down the putty flush with the bore and use that TB and keep the problem solved.
Also painted the intake and put it on, I think it looks better than that crappy chrome, just need to paint the valve cover now too.
Camera wouldnt' focus, picture does not do the intake any justice. I need to get rid of that one damn blue coupler but I couldn't find any more of my black vibrant ones

Well I swapped over the tb's and as soon as I started the car it shot up to 3k rpms and climbing. So instead of ******* with and FITV block off plate, I grinded down the blob, and now it is perfect, ecxcept a need to adjust the idle cause it's at around 1.7k rpm's.
Old header from DA I'll be putting on soon.

Re: DirtyDA9's Dirty DB1 Build Thread!
Not much recently other than factory intake installed, heat shield painted black, and if you saw my other thread im fixing a wiring nightmare, biut it will definately clean up under the dash and hopefully fix my battery draining problem.
Its been cold as ish again but I have off from work for a couple days so im going to finish the wiring nightmare and clean the hell out of the interior.
Real updates will be coming soon when it warms ip.
