Error Code 3- MAP Sensor
Anyone else had a problem with a Field SFC VTEC controller messing with the MAP sensor?
My engine kept hesitating and eventually the check light came on and I was getting code 3- and electrical problem with the map sensor. I pulled it off today, cleaned the contacts, reset the ECU etc but still get the same thing.
The engine has been running fine for a month since I put the controller in and I'm sure all the wiring is correct, all the settings for the SFC are at stock.
Any ideas how to fix it?

Re: Error Code 3- MAP Sensor (Xsi)
I had a similar problem that lasted for months it got to the point where my car would heisitate so bad I couldn't even drive it. Check your spliced connections especially the one for the map they may be loose. That was my problem.

Make sure you have the wires going the right way, they are easy to confuse sometimes. Also make sure the dip switches on the back of the Field unit are set correctly, if they aren't they can screw up a bunch of things.

Some wise words spoken by Cubed. Oh by the way, AzSi22 knows what he is doing when it comes to VAFC's and field controllers.
