Re: Engine rebuild parts list (Westrock2000)
Endyn 84.5mm NA (Low) pistons - $525 shipped
Eagle rods - $325 shipped (already received them)
main bearings
rod bearings
thrust bearings
timing belt
cylinder head gasket kit (head gasket, intake manifold gasket, exhaust gasket, valve cover gasket, spark plug grommets, valve seals, cam seals)
block gasket kit (oil pan gasket, main seals, oil pickup gasket, water pump gasket, oil pump gasket)
oil filter
oil pump
All that stuff ran me $375 + tax! I love hook ups ;-)
(If I was the average Joe and walked in the Honda Parts Dept I would have paid $559 for those parts!!!)
GSR girdle
GSR oil pan
GSR oil pickup
GSR oil baffle
(Still need to order 6 GSR main bolts)
Those parts ran me $160 used.
EDIT: Also I remember spark plugs, rotor, and cap.
So how's it look? I dont think Ive forgotten anything? Anyone else wanna add something?

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (HX_Guy)
What is your projected time in the 1/4? Are you doing anything with head? What tranny/clutch are you running? How much does your car weigh? Sorry about all the questions.

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (BLK94RS)
Well Im hoping after the rebuild I will run a 13.3 on slicks...that would be an improvment of 4/10th...which would be pretty nice.
Im running an ACT HDSS clutch wit ha GSR tranny.
Car with driver weights around 2550.

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (HX_Guy)
85mm bore isn't that a little risky?
Wouldn't it weaken the block alot?
Nice displacement though

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (HX_Guy)
oh ok
When do you anticipate to be up and running?
Also when you finish modifying the gsr girdle let me know how easy/difficult it was.

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (Muglit)
Well...all Im doing now is waiting on parts...its sucks!
The pistons hould be here in a week (next Wednesday) and Ill have all the other parts by then too..and will be able to take it down to the machine shop to bore the block and prepare the head...but Thanksgiving is next week also so Ill probably have to wait till the following week on Monday to take it down (the 26th).
So hopefully they can do everything I need in a couple days and I get it back about mid week..and I can start reassembling it...and hopefully be done that weeked (12/01 - 12/02).
So about 2 weeks from now

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (HX_Guy)
Has anyone tried to modify a B20A5 girdle for use on "regular" B series? I know it's the freak of the bunch, but if it's possible, it'd be worth it; seeing as it extends over all 5 caps.

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (HX_Guy)
Have you gotten your head ported? Since everything is apart why not send your head and in. manifold to get ported? My motor blew probably 1 month before yours did and I'm not certain when it will be finished. Good luck with yours.

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (G S R)
I dont have the money to do any work to the head.
Besides..it takes 1 hour to take the head off..so its not like I cant do it later.
If I do get headwork done..Ill probably buy a second head so there is no down time.

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (Halo)
out of curiosity, what made you go with Endyn?
JE offers B20 pistons also...but the compression was much higher then what I am looking for.

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (HX_Guy)
Im about to order my honda rebuild parts too. My engine is at the machine shop. Im going with Arias pistons(same alloy as JE) since they have the cr i want off-the-self.
Do you know any dyno #s for B20 Turbo setup?

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (Ray)
Youre aware that the compression numbers they list for their JE pistons are wit ha B16 head...if you use a B20 head it will drop the compression ALOT.
Also...are you sure Arias makes B20 pistons? When I checked they didnt.

Re: Engine rebuild parts list (HX_Guy)
