Engine cannot rev pass 4000 rpms?
Hey guys..
I have a 1994 Acura Integra Gsr....Can't seem to figure out the problem.
The car starts/idles normal....but cannot rev pass 4000 rpms.
Makes a disctinct gagging noise...so it doesn't reach to 4000 rpms smoothly..more like lagging power.
What can be wrong?

when i first got my gsr this i think was my first problem when it was low on oil it would not go in v-tech, not past 4000rpm! i didnt have it toped off all the time so when it got to low no v-tech just do an oil change or put some oil in and reset the ecu it could fix the problem.

When you rev the engine is there very much exhaust coming out the muffler? If not, check your catalytic converter, it could be backed up with carbon.

its the cylinder position sensor which is inside the dizzy or tps throttle position sensor on throttle body makes it go into limp mode i hated it lost so much power and i drove it like that for liek 20 miles going up hill sucked
