electrical gremlin with battery light
Well this is becoming a nightmare, I let my car sit for a month and let the battery die, which was a brand new interstate megatron plus 51R battery. My alt is brand new as well from maniac electric motors along with brand new posi and negative battery cables.
We jumped the car at the end of december to get it going, and the battery has been consistently dying since them after only a few days. Measured amp draw is .007 amps with no alarm and .11 amps with the alarm armed (its a huge alarm system with a backup battery). I purchased a smart charger and let the battery charge up to 100% and it still goes dead pretty quick and the load test is showing the battery is pretty weak now, but that is not the main issue here that has arisen.
The main issue im having is there is a 2-4 minute window after starting the car where the battery light will remain on, however the alternator is putting out normal charging voltage of 14.3v. After that period of time passes, there is a loud BUZZZZZZ *CLICK* sound associated with the battery light then turning off, and charging voltage remaining normal. I cannot for the life of me pinpoint what this issue is, ELD voltage appears to be normal in ectune datalog display the only odd thing that has plagued the car for a while now is low voltage output under full load (headlights, high beams, ac on, cooling fans on, rear window defroster, and radio) I will only get about 12-12.5v as it appears the alternator is at maximum capacity. This could be related to the fact that the JRSC pulleys are not spinning the alt at an OEM speed, as the voltage returns to normal just above idle when hitting the gas, at about 13.8v.
Does anyone have ANY idea what this buzzzzing and clicking sound is associated with the battery light on the passenger side of the car?

Ahem. Aftermarket alternator. It's defective. Return for exchange and hope the next one is better.
Or pay twice as much and get a Genuine American-Honda reman from your local Acura dealer. That one will work first time, and will live forever.
This is the kind of label you want to see:
And the box it will come in:

noise sound like it's coming from the pcm? the pcm sends out a reference voltage to the eld. this could be the noise you're hearing.
you can test the eld by reading voltage of the grn/red wire at the eld. with KOER, there should be a 5 volt reference. the voltage should drop as loads are applied
