Default loss of power/bogging

let me give sequence..

-normal start, drives fine when cold/getting to normal running temps
-as soon as it hits normal running temp, it suddenly sort of bogs
-i give it more gas to compensate, no power
-motor exhaust pitch gets really low, as if its trying really hard and going nowhere with some noise that sounds like light backfire
-after about 2-3 seconds of WOT with no power, it suddenly catches and has normal full power.. for about 5 seconds.. then goes right back to bogging
-this will go back and forth for about 5 minutes
-suddenly the car will jerk forward from "gain in power", almost like hitting the sport button in an M3 and drive like normal

anyone else have this problem? someone was saying it could be spark plugs or clogged fuel filter but all that has been changed and it still does this. not a huge issue, just an issue.

Spark plugs and spark plug wires could also be a problem.

i have a similar fault . mines a 92 duel point. and its like hitting a power button ubove 4000 revs, it just takes off. no fault codes thou. but rev it stationary and it misses at around 3000 revs . new plugs ,leads, cap and rotor fitted. not fuel stavation as power comes back at higher revs under loads . any ideas? doesn't misfire under load .
