Google.com is what you need.

Besides that, a fuel system designed to work with E85 (its slightly corrosive), an ECU with an E85 program, a large fuel pump, larger injectors, etc.

It has quite a bit less energy content than normal E15/E10 gas, so almost all the money saved in fuel cost will be spent in terrible MPG. Plus all your setup cost.

People don't use E85 in normal cars to "save money". They use it as a substitute for high octane fuel for high boost setups or high comp NA setups.

All I did was fill up on e85 and street tune with a wideband.

That's it.

stuff will damage a lot of your fuel system components, plus you need a lot more volume vs gas, it just has less energy per gallon

Do you speak from experience?

How do you know what fuel system components I have?

?? you are disputing the basic facts about burning alcohol vs. gas? fuel system components need to be rated for the stuff, it takes more volume to get the same energy, which means a different pump, and one rated for it, bigger injectors etc,

I'm not sure how you inferred what you did from my post.

I already had a walbro pump and RC injectors when I switched to e85.

OP, what are your power goals?
Current mods?

Gas mileage isn't too bad, I still get mid 20's if I'm not in constantly in boost. Op if your motor has just basic bolt ons, I wouldn't even bother running it for now. Save the money and put it towards something that will get you more power if thats what your looking for.

Because like the typical jackass, you posted this...

Since nobody knows who the hell you are and what you have already modified, it implies that you didn't modify anything; you just "filled up on E85 and street tuned it".

Also, if you didn't replace o-rings, fuel lines, etc with material capable of handling the extra percentage of alcohol, you'll be in a bad place soon enough.

Not necessarily true... My cars still on the stock lines from 96 and they've been holding up fine for 3 years or so with e85

"Running 100% ethanol or alcohol in an engine can cause damage to cork products.

The rubber neoprene used in the last 20 + years is resistant to the drying effect that ethanol may have.

Today's vehicles are built to withstand the corrosive effects of water in ethanol and gasoline. Any vehicle built since 1985 will have no ethanol related issues. Older vehicles that used more steel in the fuel systems or cork gaskets may have issues from long term exposure to water."

Apparently your sarcasm detector is broken.

In any event, the o-rings come with the injectors, and my rubber lines are oem.

See post above mine.

Do you have any experience with e85?

I've been running it all year without a single issue.

I've been on e85 for 2 years and there are zero signs of any corrosion or any ill effects from running it. I was running it on the stock fuel pump for over a year and then I put a walbro in and the tank looked spotless on the inside.

You can get away with using the stock pump on e85 without issues, although like previously stated...if you're na with just some bolt ons you wont see any gains from using it. You wont even do better on emissions. I know this cause that's why I originally switched to it and I still failed.

If you're really set on using it. Get some bigger injectors and a tune. That's it...and an afr gauge which you should have regardless if you're getting tuned on e85 or any other fuel.

I'm running FID 1000's, Walbro 255, stock fuel filter, stock fpr, stock lines. Only issue I've ever had is one station converted an old diesel tank and they didn't clean it properly so there was gunk in it. Just make sure where ever you get it from it's either a tank that has only ever seen e85, or one that has been properly maintained
