engine revving away!
i swapped the head on my 90 teg, b18a, now when i start it the engine just revs up and up to 4500 like wot then it creeps up higher until i shut it off. i have tried the tps and idle air control and im pretty sure all the vacuum lines are hooked up, but now im lost as to what to check next. anybody have any ideas?

Re: engine revving away! (91redteg)
just anoher stock one, i bought it with the car running like crap and i tested the compression and two cylinders were below 50 so i pulled the head and found two valves with small chunks missing.

Vacuum leak....air is getting in somewhere. Probably either a leak around the IM gasket or you forgot to plug one of the vacuum ports. Spray carb cleaner around the IM (lots and lots of carb cleaner) and when you hear a change in the pitch, thats where the leak is.
