This is for those of you who have a lake of water in their trunk/hatchback area everytime it rains It's the tailight gasket.
Tools needed.
- 10mm deep socket, extension, & ratchet.
- Phillips screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Plier
- Interior clips removal tool
- 8mm deep socket
Start by removing these clips with the body panel removal tool.
Use the plier & pull this clip off.
Now release the seat at an angle & push toward the arrow indicated to get the seat out
Next remove this 10mm bolt
Lift the back end straight up like so and wiggle the seat out.
Here's a picture of the seat's hook for reference.
Open the rear strut cover & remove the 10mm bolt. And use the phillip screwdriver & remove the plastic screw.
Remove this 10mm bolt
Remove these plastic/metal screw with phillips screwdriver
Remove the speaker cover & remove this screw.
Unplug this hatch light & Now you're pretty much done, start pulling the panels out.
Using a deep socket 8mm, remove these (6) nuts to get the tailight out.
Replace it with these OEM tailight gasket. At $25 for one gasket, it's expensive so don't rip or damage it in any way.
Tailights out.
Put the new gasket on and install in reverse order.
