CV Boot and Steering Rack Boot
So I was changing the tranny fluid today and I noticed that my outer cv boot and steering rack boot are both ripped and there's grease everywhere. The cv boot went about a week ago. I noticed it when I was washing my car and scrubbing the rims and noticed some grease and didn't think anything of it until I removed the tire I changed the fluid today. Since I don't have any noises yet I'm going to rebuild my axles.
Anyways the questions:
1. What do I need to replace? So far I have CV boot kit (inner/outer), snap pin. Anything else I'm missing?
2. If I do the steering rack boot, should I have to get the car realigned? Even if I mark the tie rod?
Thanks in advance.
