Default Crank pulley missing small chunk?

I just removed my crank pulley to replace my water pump. I noticed a 2cm chunk missing from the pulley around the outer edge. Will this cause my pulley to be out of balance and mess up my oil pump?
Thanks

yes you need to get that "key" it locks the crank pulley in place, with out it the pulley wont do **** for charging your alternator.. it wont mess up the oil pump.. the key costs less than 5 bux from honda

I wouldn't be real concerned about it being out of balance. The accessory belts put a greater intensity and variety of forces on the crank pulley than a 2cm^2 missing chunk would.

I'd be more worried about a belt falling out of track or a warped pulley from the missing chunk.

I would still replace the pulley. It also serves as the harmonic balancer for the crank, and if it's out of balance who knows what it could do to your crank bearings.
