Default Clutch Pedal Feeling a Little Weird????????

I just started to notice that my clutch pedal has a good 2 1/2 to 3 inch space in the pedal before I can feel any resistance. I just replaced the clutch with an ACT not even about 8k miles ago. Does anyone know what this means? Is my clutch going out again?
I have a bearing in the tranny that rattles which I need to get fixed. It's the input shaft bearing, but I don't think this has anything to do with it. If anyone know could you tell me

You'll have to clarify this but there is an adjustment nut on the clutch pushrod that controls pedal freeplay, you might want to stick your head under the dash and make sure that is not loose.

Before that you should check the fluid in the clutch fluid level.

Hm...check your clutch fluid level.

If it's not that, it may be your master and/or slave clutch cylinder(s). HTH.

interesting, i have the same problem with my act...clutch engagement is very high, almost have to let the pedal out all the way before it engages...i can barely get the car to roll forward w/o giving it gas because it will stall....but once in a while, i would say 1 out of 15 when im in first gear i barely let off the clutch and it engages. WTF? clutch slave and master cylinder replaced 6 months ago, my act also has about 8k (2 months) on it. Clucth fluid was bled about a week ago to try to fix the problem, nothing.

I also had the same problem about 2 months ago, I had to really push down the clutch peddle basicly flooring it just to get a lil pressure out of it. I checked the clutch fluid, which wasnt the problem. It turned out I had to replce my master cylinder (on my 94 gsr). Everything seems to be working fine now.

Okay I checked the fluids and everything is fine I also checked to see if the clutch pedal itself was fine. I have all the maintenance records to my car and none of them say anything about the master cylinder leaking or needs replacement. Since yesterday morning my clutch has been getting worse. Now today it actually feels like theirs no clutch at all. No pressure what so ever. And the pedal sticks to the floor a little bit when I depress it. And I can't even get it in gear. I'll be hella pissed if my clutch went out again.
If anyone else has any info on this let me know

if its not driveable you have to take it to a shop anyway....have them check the clutch slave and master cylinder just incase, if those are fine you have to pull the clutch....once its out they should be able to determine easily what the problem is. Good luck.

I know my clutch cannot be going out. So I am pretty sure that I have a hydraulic problem with the master cylinder. I think maybe a seal inside is going out. Does anyone know how much for a new master cylinder???

Hey does anyone know if an LS master cylinder is the same as a GS-R.
I can probably get one off of a wrecked 96' LS

Sounds like the pressure plate to me. I have seen the ACT plates fail many times.
You have to keep in mind. ACT is just a rebuild from a stock unit. The symptoms you show, do not sound like a hydraulic problem. I have also seen many of the other rebuild fail as well. I.E CF, CM, CN The quailty control is not there. ACT is probably the best of the rebuilds, but bear in mind it is just that I suggest pull it out, send it back where you bought it, get the EXEDY unit, and BE HAPPY

id replace the master and slave cylinder and adjust the pedal height/travel whatever and then see if it feels better to you, make sure to bleed it properly and make sure there is NO air in the system or it will feel weird.....its a lot cheaper to do this (assuming you do it yourself) than it is to pull the tranny off and find out nothing is wrong with your clutch.
