Cleaning the AEM air filter

Re: Cleaning the AEM air filter (UnionCity LS)
i picked the K&N recharging kit at pep boys the other day. ($10)
very easy to use
basically you beat the filter to loosen all the rocks and wat not. then spray the filter with the cleaning solution, let that set for 10 mins, then wash the filter from the inside out, to move the dirt away from the filter. then wash the outside till its nice and white. then let the dry in the sun, 45 mins or so. then take the oil and spray the filter element till you can no longer see white. then it should be pink again.
im busy eating lunch so if i miss spelled anything 2 bad

Re: Cleaning the AEM air filter (SilverB18C1)
I just spray the filter with the oil in the K&N recharge kit, but I seems to spray too much there are some oil dripping. Will spray too much do any harm? What should I do to eliminate the excess oil? Thanks!

Re: Cleaning the AEM air filter (Ideal R)
let the filter sit without use if you oiled it up too much--and it's very easy to over oil them! the excess should drip off.
