Default CARB compliant / Non CARB Compliant

So I live in CA and i'm wondering what is the ACTUAL difference between a carb and non carb compliant catalytic converter.

sticker.. lol also Carb catalytic converters are suppose to work at 90% efficiency while the "federal" only have to work at 80% efficiency.. Again, "supposedly".. Depends on whether the smog technician will notice this detail or not but if you're going aftermarket, they'll definitely notice.
