B20 swap into a 91DA...I have searched!
Ok i am planning on swapping a b20z into my 91 Intega DA. Right now i have a B18A 5spd. I know that the B20z motor physically bolts in and will work perfect as long as i use the b18 distributor, LS intake (everything attached), b18 crank pulley, front mount bracket, p/s, a/c brackets etc
Now my questions are:
1. My car is an OBD0 and was wondering if thats going to be an issue since i know most b20z are swapped into OBDI car which are the 92-93 DA's?
Should i get a complete wiring harness out of a 92-93 so it will be OBDI or will my stock OBD0 harness i have in the car now work just fine.
2. My trans is a stock LS 5spd (cable). Will this transmission/clutch/flywheel bolt up to the b20 motor? I do plan on replacing the clutch while it out
Any other suggestions would greatly be appreciated b/c i want this to go as smoothly and quickly as possible
THX

The tranny will bolt up with no problems, I swapped a jdm b20 in my 92 teg. Sorry cantchelp with the ob/wiring question but it would sound like you would need a 92-93 harness to make the swaping process go smooth.

Yes your tranny/clutch will work with the b20.
Use the stock engine harness you have and use the external parts from your b18a if you want to stay obd0 and it will run just fine with your pr4 ecu. Obviously you'll have better tuning options if you switch to obd1.
Even if you want to swap to obd1, there is no reason to use anything but your original engine harness unless you feel like rewiring the whole body. Just get a jumper harness for the ecu and run the approriate wires.
I have an obd2 motor in an obd0 car that is converted to obd1 still using the stock harness.
