DA Integra Transmission Fluid Change
Hey guys I have been having problems with my transmission when I shift. Occasionally my trans will grind while upshifting into 2,3,4,5th. I recently put a new B20 in and reused the stock A1 transaxle. I had trouble with it even before swapping engines. While we were doing the swap I replaced the clutch and flywheel with an OE replacement. The synchros in the trans were replaced about 6 months ago and that didn't help. I filled it with Penzoil Synchromesh, I have adjusted the clutch to within specs, and still grinding. I am going to try replacing the fluid with something else. Do you guys think the Penzoil Synchromesh is too thick, making it grind? I am thinking I will replace the fluid with 10w-30, MTF, Or GM Synchromesh. I just don't want to buy 3 quarts of the GM Sycnchromesh at $15 a quart and that not be the problem. Any suggestions?

Re: DA Integra Transmission Fluid Change
Use OEM Honda MTF as mentioned above.
Def not the fluid causing your issues.
It's def something inside the trans, could even be something silly, trans issues are tough sometimes, especially trying to diagnose over the webz.
Take it somewhere if you can figure it out.

my homeboys 3rd gear was grinding at any rpm past 2500 and we used the penzoil synchromesh and now he can rev it all the way up with no grinds

I tried everything out there to get my 3rd gear (ls hydro tranny) grind to go away. Honda mtf didn't even help. Amsoil syncromesh transmission fluid made the grind go away 100%. It took me 2 years to figure it out cause i didn't think it was worth fixing. Now it goes in smooth even under heavy accleration. I use it in both my hondas trannys now.
