Default 95LS exhaust question

Currently i have a 2.5inch exhaust with a test pipe and a resonator and a 4inch tip muffler..but i have a big crack in my exhaust so i plan on replacing it... Is it a good idea to get 2.25inch piping straight pipe with the 4inch tip muffler..with no test pipe and no resonator... i kno it will be loud but i just want to kno how would it effect the engines performance??

the car currently has DC sports 4-1 hearders ..a skunk 2 manifold and short ram intake
