Default Is it bad runnin stiffest settings on Kyb AGX...?

I'm running 2 front and 3 back with my h&r sports. Is it bad for the struts to run them on 4's??? Would it make them blow faster? I like daily driving with a stiff ride, and it's also easier to get over bumps and driveways without scrapping.

Once a year. I have a winter and a summer/autox season setting.

3f/2r in the summer and 2f/2r in the winter (and also set the rear sway to soft to reduce oversteer in the snow).

Cheers,
Roy

I adjust my Konis everytime I drive a long distance on the interstate, it's much nicer on the softer end of the range.

I was running on 4 all around for about a year. I change to 1 all around when I go on long trips because my GF complains about the bumps . What is the optimal setting for type R sway? 3 front 4 rear?

you lose some comfort when you set em on the stiffest setting. in the long run, setting it on the stiffest setting will wear out the shocks more, of course.

Actually it is the opposite for me. My car feels more comfortable and well-controlled when I set it stiffer. I like the stiff ride . Maybe this is hearsay but I have heard from the auto-x guys that the AGX's wear faster (especially the rears) if you use stiff settings with spring rates > 300lb/in. I have been using my AGX's for 10k (usually on 2f/2r or 3f/3r) with my spoon springs and my shocks still rebound great

I have 45K on my suspension now and my shocks are fine. I usually keep them a little below the middle of the range. But one time I was driving thru Birmingham AL on I-20 and I-65, and those interstates are just horrible in that city. I pulled off the road and took the shocks down to the softest settings and it was soooo much more comfortable. for Konis.

i keep my tokicos on 2/5f and 3/5r when driving around town and i turn them down on trips and stuff. one thing ive noticed though (kinda off topic sorry) is that in the rain if you turn them down to soft the more roll it creates actually causes better grip in the wet/rain...i live in ga so ive never seen snow so no comment there. i thought that was cool...does any one else notice that?

I'm not real happy with the Kyb AGXs shocks.. I have on the softest setting and still ride very rough in my opinion. My car is very lower with camber kits all around. I think these shocks need more travel to ride better and work better with higher car..

I used to ride around with my tokico's always set on 5, but then I saw the light and usually ride around with them set 2f and 3r and have not touched them in a long time, actually I kinda forgot that I have the luxuary of adjustable shocks, It's worth the money though IMO.
