B18C1's gearbox type, is it S80 or S4C or what?
hello...im newbie here, i have a stock b18c1 gearbox,
1.how to check out their type/model?
2.can i install with ITR final drive 4.785?
3.if can, what do i need?

gsr box is an s80. the easy way to get what you want is sell yours for 400, add 800 to it and buy a jdm itr with that final drive. by the time you buy the gears, lsd, bearings and labor it will be above 800
best deal in the world now is the usdm itr transmission new on ebay for 1300, like new in the acura box. no clue how many this dude has but no one can touch his prices.

a fully locked differential or spool is only a good choice for drag racing. and i mean drag only. no street, no track. the helicals like the itr uses are perfect for the street, track, snow etc. they feel similar to an open diff just with both tires pulling. also eliminates a lot of torque steer from the gsr. the biggest choice is getting the right one for your goal. the m factory diff is better than the ITR unit and quite stronger, it's also much more expensive and requires you doing a tranny build. the itr transmission is great for 98% of the people who own the cars. it's mostly high and hp and hardcore track cars that benefit
