I have this issue with my DA 93. It leaks oil possibly from the main seal. Its bad. Also the smog is due in a month. Would this oil leak cause me an issue if I take it in to get it smogged?

The way I understand it is yes it will fail, any leak from crank case is a fail. 94

Oil leak is on lower driver side by oil pump. I was thinking about just putting in some stop oil leak smog it and hopefully pass then just sell the car.

I would just clean it up and smog as long as the visual for emissions is good they will move on to the diagnostics. If its pouring out all over the floor than they might not smog it but id just get a can of brake cleaner and spray it down and wipe it clean. and not say anything.

I put in some Lucas Oil Stop last night and took it for a spin. Got to a stop and it was smoking like a BBQ grill. I got pissed off and went to bed. Ill check after work and see if there's any leaks where I parked. Its been burning oil since I got it but just always put it off. Smog is due in a month.
