Autozone Brake Rotors

Autozone Brake Rotors
Are these things really that good? My rotors are rusted pretty badly, and they are warped. So would these Rotors be a good replacement? I can't afford to get OEM ones because they are so expensive. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hell, I rock them. I also have the albany pads 
. Been rollin them for about a year and a half and still work perfectly.

Very easy to install. Only thing you'll need is an impact screwdriver for the screws that hold the rotor on. Didn't even have to disconect the brake line 
. Albany Pads are just some autozone brand lifetime pads. Cost like $24 for the front pads.

How much did everything cost you? And did you have to re-grease the bearings? My dad said something about how hard it is because you have to remove the brake lines, re-grease the bearings, and know how hard you have to re-tighten the bolts that hold the rotor on. Is all this true? Thanks.

The hardest part is getting the stupid rotor screws off. I recommend just drilling them out...they arent necessary anyway, and it makes things MUCH easier for future brake jobs.
It isnt that difficult...I am running Autozone rotors as well, along with Axxis Ultimates and am pretty pleased. Its a fairly simple process...Im sure there are some how-to's somewhere on the net, and we can help you along with any questions. A helms manual would help as well.

Nick, are you for real about the screws? I'm not trying to have my rotor fall off the hub assembly doing 100mph down the hwy man.
You run them without the screws?

All they do is hold the rotor against the hub until you put your wheel on. Once your torque your wheel down it sandwiches everything together anyway. I'd run Autozone blanks, cuz if you cook 'em within a year, you can take them back and get free replacements.

Do the bearings fall out when you take the rotors off? And how do you know how tight to make the bolts on the rotors when you put them back on?

Yeah, good call.
Autozone kinda stopped that warranty stuff in my town. It's limited to 3 months and if you have burn spots on it, you are SOL. I've tried to trade mine in.
IMO, they work pretty good if you use them with a upgraded brake pad. They just dont last that long.

you don't have to worry about the screws that hold the rotors.. just tighten them.. enough so that it holds it.. or dont even use the screws at all.. then put your wheels on. You'll know what I'm talking about when you actually go to work on your car.

i might be able to get you a brand new brembo front pair of cross drilled and slotted rotors for $113 shipped; i can probably get the rears for $118.50. these arent mine, i just know a place that i can get them cheap from.

20bucks eh? pretty tempting.. i wonder how much worse they are on performance pads than brembos for street. if not, brembo blanks are cheap at like 50-60 a pair. picked up aem pads for 46$ pair at inlinefour.com

Why bother with those when AutoZone rotors are the exact same thing, cost slightly less, no shipping charges involved, and you get them right then assuming they have them in stock? Yep, the screws are worthless...a big pain in the *** if anything.
I wouldnt bother with Brembo blanks...more expensive, and shipping will kill you (usually $30-$40). The Autozones come with a 3mo warranty, but for most of us that shouldnt be an issue...for a daily driven street car, these things are as good as anything else you'll buy short of a real brake upgrade.
Slotted and cross drilled are nice looking, but in most cases the brakes will never be used on the street to the extent that a slotted rotor would produce a benefit in cooling. Cross drilled rotors are more prone to cracking, as well as reducing pad contact area.
