Re: Auto to Manual Swap (This should be a Sticky)
What picture? You don't really need one though anyway..
2 big black wires=start the car, small pink & small black= cruise and the yellow & green/black wires= reverse lights.

Re: Auto to Manual Swap (This should be a Sticky)
alright, the picture of the wiring on page 5... the plug is upside down huh? but anyways, im gona try the wiring today and we'll go from there. As for the reverse light, i have to connect Yellow+green/black wire to the tranny correct? Is there a specific spot in the firewall that i should run the wires through to the engine bay?

Re: Auto to Manual Swap (This should be a Sticky)
I am a newbie and I know this is an older thread but I just want to say thank you so very much....... I have been having a fit trying to figure out how to get my ignition key out of the switch. I bought my 1992 Prelude S model last month and it had already been converted from a h22 with auto to a H22a4 and an m2a4 trans. They had the interior wiring butchered so bad it took me 2 days to get the car to start. I have been searching on how to get the key out of the switch and yesterday I finally found this thread. A 30 minute job to get the console out and connect wires 10, 11 & 12. I missed the green/white wire in my initial re-wire and thank the good lord it worked. I also wired the cruise properly while I was there... Thank you again for being so thorough in explaining the details. I love this site so far...

Re: Auto to Manual Swap (This should be a Sticky)
Thank you, thank you, thank you. My son has a 97 Integra LS 5 speed and we have to replace the engine. We found a used engine but it is from a car that had an automatic transmission. We noticed differences in the wiring harness, extra connectors and then became concerned if the engine would mount to the manual transmission. I haven't fully read thru your write up but it sounds like it will work with little effort.
Our biggest question at this point is the differences in the wiring harnesses including the extra connectors. I think the only differences is the extra wiring that supported the automatic transmission.
Thanks again for this posting.

Re: Auto to Manual Swap (This should be a Sticky)
Question, you mentioned that you cannot connect a manual ecu to replace the auto ecu? Is there any information on this, or adapters? If we convert to a standard, we would be replacing the B18B1 with a C1 and would need to connect the computer too, and it's from an automatic.
btw, great write up.
Ian.

Re: Auto to Manual Swap (This should be a Sticky)
Does anyone have some help on this. I know people are saying you dont need pictures. But I find they would be helpful. I am currently working on a shell that was a factory manual car with an auto interior harness in it. With that being said I have so many connectors I have no clue what they are. I was able to find what I believe is the transmission plug, but cannot verify. If also does not have a green with white line. There is a light green and a dark green wire. Sorry for bumping an old tread, but this is the last thing I need I believe to get this motor to crank over(sans the fuel pump not priming).
Thanks
Thanks

12. When the shifter and clutch is in, the you'll want to do the wiring. I found this picture on the internet.
It really helped alot, but the directions where kinda of confusing so I cleaned it up a little.
On the shifter for the auto transmission, you will see a 14-wire plug. Cut the plug from the auto shifter assembly,
and leave about 5 inches of wire. Looking at the plug, the positions are
(left to right) (top row) 14,13,12,11,10,9,8 and (bottom row) 7,6,5,4,3,2,1.
Starter and Key removal: Connect wires 10,11,12 together (2 thick black wires and grenn/white)
Hi, is the (green/white) wire the neutral safety switch?
