Air vents not switching, stuck
Wasnt sure what exactly to search for with this. bare with me because i do not exactly know what everything is called.
Basically my air vents are stuck to blow out of the top(main) vents only. when i press the button for the feet/lower or defrost it makes a buzzing sound for a split second like it is trying to move whatever selects which vent air is going to blow out, but i guess it is stuck and stays on the upper(main) vents.
Where is this thing located that makes it so the vents switch from upper to lower etc? Do i have to take the dash off to get to it?
Thanks

Re: Air vents not switching, stuck
The most likely problem is something, [pen or pencil] has slipped down the the defrost vents and is "jambing" the vent selection door(s) the dash and heater box will need to be pulled to remove the obstruction.
The other possibility is the "Mode Control Motor" has stripped a gear, you should be able to see it up under the dash drivers side, mounted to the side of the heater box.
Here is one from a 94 Integra... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=8058957838
