Acura and Honda IAT Sensor Interchangeable
Hello, I have searched around and found people saying that IAT sensors are interchangeable as long as they bolt into the same place (same mounting mechanism). I am not sure of this though. The IAT listed for my engine (b18c) at acura is $57 whereas a honda civic IAT is only $15. Does anyone know if the cheaper one from honda will work, or has anyone tried this.
There technically isn't anything wrong with the IAT as far as CEL lights go. I am doing a skunk2 manifold install and found the IAT to be burnt and kinda melted on the end, but the engine runs fine. The only time i ever get a CEL light is when it is below 0 degrees out, but if i let the motor warm up, then shut it off and restart it, the light is gone.
any suggestions or advice, I am probably going to use the burnt one just to get it running before i buy a new one for good measure. I just want to know if i can buy the cheap one from honda.
Thanks in advance

junk yard only had one honda with an engine still in it. 88 civic. had the sensor i needed but i stripped the #2 phillips trying to get it out. So i just bought one from honda. Told them to get one for a B16A. $17 total and works like a charm.
