ABS code 1-8 and Bleeding MC/Calipers required
All of a sudden i got code 1-8 no leaks anywhere, i bleed the abs and light went out for a day and came back. So i ordered a spare modulator and accumulator. I know the o-ring is new replaced it on my current unit 6 months ago. It just started when the weather got cold. strange. any ideas?
Second question i see through the service manual the ABS and Master cylinder hard lines all go to a distribution block. Why is is the manual states bleeding the ABS by itself is fine and you don't need to bleed the calipers?
If you replace the ABS modulator the hard lines are exposed and air will get into those lines. But no where in the manual does it state you need to bleed the calipers when removing the ABS unit and installing a new one?
