97 GSR port and polished IM
ok, this guy is selling a 97 stock GSR intake manifold that has been ported and polished by JG. no throttle body, butterflies removed. all hoses. $170 shipped, but i will prolly pick up if i buy it, so a little less.
good deal? what sort of gains can i expect when i put this on my 95 gsr. i can use my existing throttle body, right?
please reply ASAP!!!!! thanks

Re: 97 GSR port and polished IM (Train)
get the skunk2 or itr intake manifold a port and polish is already done onthe skunk2, not sure zbout the itr. skunk2's go for around275 and up and the itr you can find on ebay for around 100-150 if you look hard enough. i wouldn't buy a modded part unless it was staright from the manufacturer.

not much until you put in cams, get your ecu reprogrammed, throw on i/h/e and possible some other slight mods. im's only make a slight increase in power. if you really want to do something to help your car breathe get a bigger throttle body and cai of some type first or bore out your old throttle body, this will provide more gains now than an im. imho

Re: 97 GSR port and polished IM (machaf)
you'll lose some midrange with the skunk2. and it isn't port & polished...but the casting is pretty darn good.
if you can afford cams and dyno time then go with the Skunk2
