So I'm planning to do my kill switch this week, me and friend from work. I want to do it from the distributor, not the fuel pump or start since that is too obvious. My question is, do we splice the main wire? Or power wire I guess its called. And where could I hide it? I need some ideas on where to hide it, and what wire to sppice. Its my first time doing it, so if step by step instructions could be given that'd be great!

i wouldn't think it would matter what you kill, more where you hide the switch.

some place you can easily reach, that would be hard to see. you don't want me to tell you haha. it's not such a good theft deterrent if everybody on H-T knows where it is.

i had mine hooked up to the horn, and another on the cig. lighter. but i like the horn. be cause who would honk the horn when there stealing a car.

I had an idea of doing this too! There are many clever places to hide kill switches, and no point naming them because that defeats the purpose. But when making a killswitch, keep this in mind: the only limitation to where you can put it is your imagination.

I heard of a guy that had a kill switch in the rear seatbelt. He would reach back and clip the belt in before the started the car. There's a clever one for you.

Fosho! I'm better off coming here than to a mechanicc for any questions I have a few ideass. Either way a kill switch would make me feel a lot better.
