Default 10W-40 oil OK in GSR?
I need to put a quart of oil in my GSR. I know it reccomends 5W-30 but I got a quart of 10W-40 in the garage. Will this 1 quart do any harm?

you better put some new oil with the same value that is running in the car now. Same brand if possible.

it'll be fine. replace with proper weight next oil change.

if its only one quart, it should be fine, but that oil is a lot thicker. Are you running synthenic oil now and is the 10w40 synthenic?

that is fine. i use 10w-30 all the time.
