100k mile tuneup/maintenance on 97 Teg LS
I just picked up a 97 Integra 2dr LS with 120k miles. This is for my sister, so unfortunately, its auto. It needs a paint job, but she really wanted a Teg over the Civic I wanted to get for her.
The 100k mile timing belt, water pump maintenance have not been done on it. I want to do a full maintenance to secure another 100k miles out of the engine. What do I need to change?
I plan on doing:
-Timing Belt
-Water Pump
-2 Camshaft Seals
-A/C Belt + power steering belt
-Coolant change,
-thermostat change
-tranny fluid change
-brake fluid Bleed/change
-Air filter replacement
-Spark plugs and wires
-PCV valve is bad
-Clean EGR and IAC Valve and throttle body intake
-Valve Adjustment (might not be necessary? I do not hear valve noise)
-Passenger tie-rod boot need to be replaced
Am I missing anything from my list? Is there anything that I listed that is unnecessary?
The oil change is current.
Does the power steering fluid need to be changed?
Does the Transmission have a replaceable filter
Are there any other seals that are accessible while I am in there other than the 2 cam seals? Is there anything like crank seal or anything that is accessible while doing timing belt? Does anyone have a part number for these (to make sure I get the correct seals)
Where is a good place to buy OEM parts for the timing belt/water pump job?
For a longer term, later on, I might do:
-Distributed cap, rotor and oil seal
-Fuel Filter

I could be wrong, but I believe the LS motor only has 1 camshaft plug.
Change your distributor cap and rotor. Check and possibly replace brake pads if necessary. Change your timing belt tensioner and alt belt.

Does this have a tensioner belt or just the tensioner pulley/bearing thing? My accord has a tensioner belt separate from the timing belt.

you are thinking of the exhaust cam plug on the dizzy size of the head. OP, is referring to the two cam seals on the cam gear size.

Re: 100k mile tuneup/maintenance on 97 Teg LS
Do I need to replace the tensioner spring on the 97 LS?
Should I replace the valve cover gasket as well or just re-use the old one if it is not leaking? Its easy enough, if I put it back together and it is leaking, I can just change it. Right?
What's the cheapest place I can find the valve adjustment tool for Hondas? Where can I find the part number? I see the pain my mechanic/friend go through every time he is doing a valve adjustment on my car. I have 3 Hondas in my family, and plan on sticking with them, so I wouldnt mind to just go ahead and buy the tool.

Re: 100k mile tuneup/maintenance on 97 Teg LS
I called a few Acura Dealerships, and they say that they do not usually include the 2 cam seals in the 105k mile tuneup. The usually do it the second time around at 210k miles. They say they usually just inspect them and replace only if they are leaking.
What do you guys think? Do you always do them?

You got everything. If you have access to I would add the following:
Compression Test
Mic and dial your rotors and hubs to check for lateral runout
Vacuum Test
EGR valve check
Vacuum Booster Check
Battery Load Test and possible battery maintenance if you can.
Check wheel bearing and steering play
Check tensioner pulleys
Make sure all lights are working
Spark plug gap if able
The last test that you must always perform before a customer's car leaves your shop is check tire pressure. You can also do a tread depth Gage test and see if the tires are still within spec. Make sure to see if the car needs alignment or not, possible tire balance.
You can also retorque all steering and suspension components, making sure all you ball joints are greased up.
